About The Day
How we fuel our bodies can have a huge impact on how we feel in the short term but can also impact our longer-term health. Food really is medicine, but it is also there to be celebrated and enjoyed.
In our one-day workshop, we will be guiding you through expert knowledge, inspiring you in the kitchen and giving you tips, hacks and recipes. Our advice is rooted in the latest science, and we aim to cut through the confusion and misinformation of the wellness world.
It is never too late to make small, impactful changes, and this workshop gives you the foundations to build positive changes to your health.
A focus on positive nutrition and learning about the benefits of a diverse and inclusive diet.
- We will explore areas of metabolic health, such as taking a closer look at fats and blood sugar control.
- Look at how to eat to feel good and maximise energy.
- We will dive into all things gut health in our fermentation workshop.

About Dr Alice
Dr Alice is a registered nutritionist and medical doctor. She has worked for a number of years within the NHS before setting up her own private practice based in Bath. Alice spends her time delivering nutrition workshops and talks, seeing clients for personalised nutrition advice, and is a nutritionist at Yeo Valley Organic.
Dr Alice takes a holistic approach to wellbeing whilst her advice remains grounded in science. She aims to break down scientific research into practical and achievable advice. With her background in medicine, she understands the health challenges that individuals may face and how nutrition can play a part. She focuses on giving people the tools and knowledge to make sustainable and achievable change.
About Chef Ali
Chef Ali is a Leith’s trained chef and has been running her own catering business, A.P. Chef for the last 9 years. Ali's culinary philosophy revolves around celebrating seasonal, exceptional produce, crafting inventive dishes that soak up the flavours of the environment. With roots in London's esteemed kitchens Ali brings a wealth of experience to her vibrant creations that explode with flavour.
Ali thrives on building community, bringing people together through supper clubs, retreats, and bespoke events. Passionate about educating others through her cooking, she strives to make nourishing food accessible to all. A champion of regenerative farming, she partners with producers who prioritise biodiversity and soil health, ensuring every dish from A.P. Chef nourishes both people and the planet.
About Just Wild Barn
The day is set in the beautiful rural location of the Just Wild Barn in Chew Stoke which sits in the middle of Bristol, Bath and Wells.
Just Wild Barn is set on a 150-acre organic farm in the Chew Valley, surrounded by wildflower meadows grazed by cattle in the summer and a flock of sheep in the orchard. The farm is home to diverse apple varieties, producing fresh apple juice and cider each autumn, alongside a thriving herb and flower garden. Committed to regenerative farming, it prioritizes biodiversity, soil health, and carbon sequestration, with operations powered by on-site solar energy.
